After receiving the message from Vihaan I didn't waste a second and walked to my desk and started to check my mail. There it is, I clicked open it and there was her information which stated about her working experience, age,the place she grew up and alot. I was going through it one by one.

She has been working for KK Groups since her college days, since that time she was doing part time and also studying. She didn't hold any higher position there except for a receptionist at the time but eventually it changed by time being to the position of Head of the marketing team in KK Groups .

No wonder she holds the amount of significance there and not to forget she was one hell of a loyal and bestest employee they ever had and now they have lost a precious employee like her. I wonder how they will be able to manage things.

But there this thing kept nagging me. She was paid well when she was in KK Groups. What is the need for her to quit from there and join our company?

Did she do all this because she married me? But I don't think it will be a problem even though she is married to me she can still work for them from home as nowadays a lot of people do work from home but if not this then perhaps is there any chances that she is being forced upon.

I vividly remember during our marriage where that old man threatened me before he called me. She was there earlier and when I asked her regarding marrying me all she ever said was she has no problem marrying me and I shouldn't bother whatever deal they had is none of my concern.

Now it clicked, if my guess is right then that old man had used the same trick he used upon me on her as well. Now everything is getting clear to me.I remember the old man said if her company wanted to do partnership with us there is a condition she needs to follow and not only that the old man specifically only told her to follow.

Yadav Shekhawat is one hell of a smart man. He knows how to get things to work in his favor and he perfectly used her but what is not settling right is if indeed that old man had threatened her but with what could it be? I don't think a smart woman like her is stupid enough to fall for that old man's trick.

I know that the KK Groups are planning to build some new pathways for the people leaving in slum area for them to have easy access for the school children and others at the same time where us the Shekhawats are planning to build new charity house at the opposite of the area as to help out the people living in the slum and others as well.

We Shekhawat could have easily built a new charity house here in Mumbai but still we chose to build in Chennai was not only to help but to get our own profit. The new charity house not only gets donations from us but also from different parties like all the rich men from the south.

But it wasn't easy to build a charity house in a city you aren't familiar with so to gain trust on us we need a powerful south businessman to help so that is why we planned to have alliances with the KK Groups as the KK Groups were the top companies in the South.

Not to forget how desperate KK Groups are to do partnership with us as I learned it from double background checking regarding the companies and their motives to agree with us that easily without demanding anything in return.

But what I don't understand is if let say that the old man threatened her with not signing up the deal with her company if she is not marrying me then what is her loss in it? I don't find any loss for her unless she is a big fool to blindly do anything for her company just to show her loyalty but I don't think she is that dumb to do then what else the possibility could be?

Does she owe money from an old man but I don't think this is the first time they met each other or did they know each other before but I don't think that is possible if that old man knew her earlier?

Is there any chances that the old man threaten her with her family? Family...Yes right but wait if that is the case where is her family now? Are they aware of our marriage? Did they disown her because of our sudden unannounced marriage? There are a lot of questions right now. I need answers but it's okay I will unravel the truth one by one.

If not today then one day the truth will come out to the light and I will be waiting for that day but right now I need to find her family. Thinking this I started to scroll down on the information given about her to check her family status but before I could read it, I heard a knock on my door.

I pulled my gaze away from my computer screen and looked at the door before letting the other person enter. Vihaan walked in with a blue file in his hand and looked at me confusedly seeing that I was busy with something.

"I'm sorry to disturb you Sir but we have a meeting in less than 10 minutes with the Dubai delegates" Vihaan said

I glanced at my wrist watch and sighed before nodding my head. Vihaan excused himself and left from there. I leaned back on my seat and looked back at my computer screen which stopped at her relationship status and below it has her family status but however I didn't read it but turned off my computer screen before standing up from my seat.

I adjusted my suit and grabbed my phone before walking to the conference hall. Her information can wait but my meetings can't so I will just read it later.

Mukesh stopped my car in front of Shekhawat mansion and I stepped down.

It's 8pm now and I am finally done with today's meetings.

I was walking inside when I realized the mansion is heavily decorated with heavy decorations and I wonder what they are planning this time. I saw Kabir standing at the bodyguard quarters along with the other bodyguards and I wonder why he hasn't gone back since there are enough bodyguards to guard the house.

Even though he is here for her still I don't think she will need his protection at night that too when I'm around her. Wait what am I even thinking! Why should I protect her? She is no one to me. Thinking this I entered inside the mansion.

I saw all my family members were seated and were having serious discussion going on and there she is, my forced wife seated in between Priyanka and Arjun. I wanted to actually thank her as if she didn't step up I wouldn't manage to get the deal from Mr.Baloch but something in me didn't let me to do so.

Arjun was saying something but seems like she least bothered about it as she was zoned out and I can clearly see that. I was going to go to my room ignoring their discussion when maa called out to me.

"Oh Dev you're back, come here you're on time we was just talking about you" maa said

After the fallout with maa that day, she had stopped talking to me unless is something important then she will talk to me otherwise she will ignore me like I was not there and somehow it hurts me so much but I couldn't bring myself to apologize to her because honestly I don't know how to.

I looked at her blankly before walking towards her and stopped right in front of the tea table. All of them looked at me except for her, she was still zoned out and I wondered what she was deeply thinking until she wasn't aware of my presence here. Whatever, I shouldn't worry about it.

"Dev! Dev!" I heard maa calling me

I looked at her and asked

"Yes maa?"

"Where are you lost bhai, maa has been calling you for so long" said Arjun while looking at me confusedly

I shook my head and looked back at maa and finally asked her

"Yes maa, what is it?"

"Dev tomorrow maa and papa's 70th’s wedding anniversary and I want all of you to stay back at home and I don't want to hear any excuses" maa said firmly

It's daadu and daadi's 70th wedding anniversary tomorrow that make sense for this decorations but how could I forget about this but that doesn't mean I will listen to them and stay back I have way more important things to do tomorrow rather than being apart of an annoying celebration.

"I'm sorry but I can't maa, I have important things to do in office tomorrow" I said without beating around the bushes

"But what more important thing you have that need your attention more than daadu and daadi's wedding anniversary bhai?" asked Arjun

I glared at him which was enough for him to shut his big mouth

"But Dev tomorrow is a very important day for us so please put your so called 'important things' on hold" paa said while stressing the word important things

"Yes cchote papa is right Dev, please put a hold on whatever important thing you have and please join us for once without putting up any fight" Karan bhai said this time

"Yes bhai pleaseeee" The trio pleaded in unison while showing their puppy eyes

But that doesn't faze me and I again open my mouth to refuse when the person I least expected spoke up which literally left all of us in shock.

"He will join us, you all don't have to worry about it" she said while staring at me

Suddenly her ordering didn't sit well with me and I snapped at her

"No I'm not going to stay who do you think you're to order me around like this"

"Your wife" she said without missing a beat

Phwwwwwhht (Whistling sound)

Suddenly, we heard whistling sound and all our gaze landed on Arjun who was whistled so loud. Arjun looked at us before looking at her and said

"Wow bhabhi what an answer"

Others chuckled clearly enjoying our banter and I'm literally burning with fury seeing them enjoying this shit.This woman has a lot of guts to talk to me like that. I again open my mouth to refuse when this time badee maa spoke

"Enough...enough with this drama now, I need to ask something important" she said getting everyone is attention

"Look who is talking about drama" Isha purposely mumbled out loud for us to hear most importantly badee maa

Badee maa threw a hard glare at her sight before continuing back

"Vaidehi, did you invite your parents?" badee maa asked bhabhi

"Haan maa I already invited them" said bhabhi (Yes mom)

"Oh no how come I forgot about this...Naina did you invite your parents as well?" this time maa asked

"Ji mummy I already called them you don't have to worry" Naina said (Yes)

Suddenly a thought crossed my mind did she invite her parents? I was thinking this when maa voiced out my thoughts.

"Sathi, did you talk to your parents? Are they coming?" Maa asked her

I was curiously waiting for her answer but she didn't say anything but looked down and I saw the sudden shift of emotions on daadu when maa mentioned about her parents and this piqued my interest suddenly.

"How will she invite her parents when the deed she has done is not something that someone would be proud of" badee maa taunted her but I ignored because it's nothing new and also not my problem

"Sathi, did your parents refuse to come here? Are they mad at us?" Maa again asked her but this woman she sat like a statue without answering her

This literally made me fumed with rage. How dare she ignore my mother just like that when she is politely asking her. I really wanted to teach her some lessons so she wouldn't be this ignorant towards anyone.

"Sathi, are your parents aware of this marriage? Did you tell them or not?" it was Vaidehi bhabhi who asked her this time

"Haan bhabhi, does your parents scold you because you married without letting them know" Priyanka asked concern laced

My anger only intensified when I saw her still sitting without uttering anything. Wasn't she talking back to me just now then why is she playing this quiet game now. I clenched my jaw tightly not to simply lash out at her but her being stubborn is not helping at all.

"Look at her everyone is asking but she is sitting here without opening her mouth I wonder what her parents taught her" badee maa said while glaring at her

I saw daadu open his mouth to say something but before he could she said something which literally left me shocked to the core.

"I don't have parents because I'm an orphan"

All of us looked at her with shock written on our faces.

She is an orphan? Is it true? Shit!I should have read the entire details of her

"What? Sathi you're really an orphan?" Maa asked looking at her unbelievably

"Yes Mrs.Shekhawat whatever you're hearing is true I don't have parents I grew up at a orphanage" she said like it doesn't really a big deal

"But why didn't you tell us this before and by chance Dev are you aware of this?" Badee papa asked

I shook my head and said

"No"

"Because no one took the initiative to know about me that is why you all are unaware of it" she said looking at badee paa

Badee paa looked down and seemed a little disappointed. I guess not only him but also the others as well since everyone was busy in their own bubble until they had turned a blind eye to the newcomer of the family.

"Kya? You're an orphan? So you didn't come from any wealthy family no wonder you was so desperate to marry our Dev" badee maa said looking at her disgustingly (What?)

I don't know what it is but suddenly I felt a mixed up emotions of anger and guilt. I felt like smashing something right now at the same time I wanted to apologize to her. I don't know why but hearing her saying that she has no one something in me twisted painfully.

I think it's just because I pity her that's all or maybe my past deeds made me feel this way. I couldn't stand there any longer after her revelation so I quickly walked away from there not bothering my siblings calling me at the back.
